The 11th International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN 2026)

We cordially invite you and your organization to participate in the 11th annual edition of the International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada, iCAN 2026, organized by the Toronto International Society of Innovation & Advanced Skills (TISIAS), locally supported by Innovation Initiative Co-operative Inc. “The Inventors Circle”, and globally supported by the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) and the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA), with media coverage by INVENTOR SOUND™ and The Patent Invention Magazine.

iCAN is Canada’s world-recognized premier event for inventors and has shown continuous growth since its first edition in 2016. iCAN 2025 featured a record-high 802 inventions from 62 countries and regions.

General Outline

History

The past 10 editions of iCAN (2016–2025) featured participants from 98 countries and regions on every continent, including North, Central and South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Oceania, establishing the event as a true global stage for creativity and innovation in the multicultural heart of Toronto, Canada.

Program at a Glance

iCAN combines an invention competition, keynote speakers’ presentations, The Finals Movie and the iCAN Awards. Inventors, innovators, students, professors, researchers, scientists, designers, entrepreneurs and anyone with outstanding ideas are eligible to apply to iCAN 2026 and take part in all programs.

iCAN 2026 – The 11th Edition

iCAN 2026 will be held online. There will be no physical exhibition or award ceremony in Toronto, Canada.

Brochure and Application Form

For full information, visit www.tisias.org/ican-2026 and submit the “Request for Brochure & Forms” online to receive the iCAN 2026 brochure and application form by email. Some requests may be redirected to official delegations for certain countries.

Award Package

All award winners will receive the iCAN 2026 Award Package, containing their award certificate(s), medal(s) and/or plaque(s) with event souvenirs, by international express airmail at the end of the event (international shipping will operate in September).
