2026 Japan Design, Idea and Invention Expo (JDIE)

Event Overview

Japan’s creativity and design lead trends and hold an important place in Asia. Japanese inventions are full of ingenuity, and Japanese design and invention have long been regarded as a model by the public. These inventions carry strong cultural characteristics, and many of their visuals evoke an unmistakably “Japanese style”.

The World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) invites all inventors to participate in the 2026 Japan Design, Idea and Invention Expo (JDIE). It is a two-day event held from July 3 to 4, 2026, comprising the exhibition and the competition, including the award ceremony.

The exhibition is organized by WIIPA. A wide range of participants, including students, professionals, companies and experts, have joined the Japan Design, Idea and Invention Expo. The exhibition has no age limit and is open to professionals as well, providing a platform for inventors and companies to connect and exchange ideas.
